This sculpture is the result of Paul being selected, through a competitive selection process initiated, by the Tucson Magnet High School centennial class of 2007. The graduating class student council selected Paul's design, and it was approved by the School's administration. One of the challenges of this project was a requirement to have the mascot depict a lifelike badger while having powerful stalwart characteristics. Through his artistic abilities and craftsmanship, Paul was able to satisfy these requirements.

NOTE: If interested in donating to Tucson High please follow this link. Paul has arranged with Tucson High, to make available for sale, at $300 each, a maquette (a model of the badger). One third of the price going directly to Tucson High Magnet School.
