 I created Feline as a fun, playful and happy piece. This work brought back found fun memories of cats that I have enjoyed watching and interacting. Continuing with the fun theme of previous cardboard-based works, "Strong Man" and "Jackrabbit", Feline became a reality. I used a variation of the previous works by using strips of cardboard, instead of flat sheets, to form a sitting cat. When the shell material that coated the cardboard was fired, the cardboard was incinerated, resulting in a cavity that was filled with molten bronze.
