This was a commissioned work for a patron that wanted a 24 inch version of original large size Cactus-Man. 

Cactus-Man, points to the bond that humans share with the Sonoran Desert. The sculpture shows a man morphing into a cactus, or a cactus morphing into a man, blurring the line between man and nature
while reminding us of the beauty of the world around us. 

The patina, or coloration, imitates green tones of the cacti found in the Sonoran Desert. The upper right picture above shows the patina after several years of exposure to the Arizona weather.
It is a close match to the real plant as found in the desert.
