Process To Make Bronze Art
After the poured bronze metal has cooled the shells are broken off of the castings, similar to removing the shell of a boiled egg. The new castings are cleaned, extraneous bronze from the process is cut off from the castings and the castings are sandblasted to prepare them for welding into the complete work. The following shows some of the parts being welded together. This is called the chasing stage.
